The Review.

When I first started looking at the Predator Lure range, something caught my eye. I had been using the Savage Gear fish measure, and although it did a great job, I didn’t like the colour. When you had a fish on it, to me, it kind of blended into the background too much
A new fish measure? What caught my eye with the new Predator fish measure that Jamie Reynolds created and produced was a very nice-looking fish measure to go with his new Predator lure range.

These measures come in two sizes: the small one, 8 cm x 122 cm, and the large one, 20 cm x 122 cm, with the prices at £12.99 for the small and £14.99 for the large. Made of strong PVC, I was tempted.
I think Jamie has done a great job producing a nice-looking fish measure. The added features, like the carabiner clip and the red 42 cm line, make it a great measure for all, especially new people to lure fishing. For more information and to purchase one, the link is here to the Predator shop. It looks very nice with your bass on it, too. My first bass was caught on a craw at 53 cm in January 2025.
Conclusion.

The first thing I noticed from the start was the handy ring and carabiner clip attached to the plastic nose stop of the measure. I think it's a great idea; it's so handy to attach to a bag or your belt for quicker access and not have to search for it in a tackle bag or rucksack.

The next thing is I think the colours stand out well on this measure, the light blues standing out much better than the normal black we see on other measures. The fish images add some extra content to the measure to show that it's for measuring fish, a cool addition.

The Predator Lures name, along with the Union Jack showing that it's UK-made, also stands out and is nice to see. I think the best addition to this measure is the red marker line on the 42cm, the legal limit for retaining a bass or two in the UK. This is a fantastic idea, as you can quickly see if the fish is big enough or not beneath this line, and it needs to be released. Something simple like this can make a difference and could be added to all measures if not already done so.
